Robin's Homebrewed Beer Page

This is one great hobby.

You get to choose what kind of beer you will drink and how it will taste before the malt and hops even hit the boiling water. Then just sit back and watch the yeast do their miraculous work in turning it to a brew of whatever flavor and strength you want.

With new homebrew shops opening up all the time, it's easy to get what you need and it's probably simpler than you think. If you're thinking about trying it, here's a book I would highly recommend:

The New Complete Joy of Home Brewing by Charlie Papazian from Avon Books(Paperback)

It's got all the information you need to get started and plenty more, including recipes. My brother gave it to me when I began brewing and it's been invaluable.

The only downside is that there are bottles to wash, care to be taken in sanitizing the equipment and messes to clean up if you let things boil over. Other than that, like I said, this is one great hobby.
